Joris Coonen worked in the neurosurgery department at the hospital for many years. There he found that time pressures and increasing administrative tasks meant he could give less and less real, sincere attention to his patients. He also found that it was precisely the smaller interventions, which benefit people quickly, that gave him the most satisfaction. So he said goodbye to neurosurgery in late 2014 and has been practicing cosmetic medicine full-time ever since. Joris: “Research has shown that people who look well-groomed and have self-confidence are more successful and happy not only in business but also socially. It gives me great satisfaction when people look in the mirror after a treatment and I see that they are happy with the result, giving them more self-confidence. I truly believe that people then go through life more pleasantly. And the fact that you can achieve that with a relatively simple procedure is exactly why I am happy with my choice to specialize in cosmetic medicine.”

Joris Coonen attends national and international conferences and very regularly attends trainings and workshops given by Allergan, Merz, Bo Medical and Galderma.

As a cosmetic doctor, he combines his highly refined surgical skills with attentiveness to his clients with great pleasure and satisfaction. Which there is time for now.
