What is couperose?
Couperose is a skin condition in which small blood vessels are clearly visible. This is because the vessel walls are weakened. This happens gradually, usually before aging of the skin. With rosacea, heredity also plays a role: the strength of the vessel walls is hereditary. Mainly it can be identified on the cheeks, chin, nose or forehead. Although it is a harmless skin condition, many people do not like it and would like to do something about it.
Exactly how rosacea develops is not known, but in many cases it occurs spontaneously. Sometimes rosacea is caused by too much UV rays (sun, tanning bed or high altitude sun), inclement wind and harsh cold. Sometimes rosacea turns into the skin condition rosacea. In addition to rosacea, red spots and pimples can then be seen.
Spider Naevus
A spider naevus (spider vein) is a dilation in a small blood vessel and usually occurs on the face. It can be recognized by a red spot the size of a pinhead (head of the spider) from which hair-fine blood vessels fan out (legs of the spider)

How can rosacea be treated?
