The Me-Line Pigment treatment is a skin-improving facial treatment performed in 3-4 steps at Skin Improvement Beauty Amsterdam. You will also be given a treatment plan for home with accompanying products.

We start the Me-Line pigmentation treatment plan with a peeling-mask treatment at the clinic. From day 3 after the first treatment you start using the home products. Our skin specialist provides a comprehensive education during the first treatment regarding home products and how to care for the skin. The combination of the exfoliation and the active ingredients of the home products give a strong and destructive effect against melanin synthesis. The production process of pigment is disrupted, the tyrosinase enzyme is destroyed and growth of epidermal cells are accelerated.

After 3 weeks, an ID – MeLine microneedling treatment is scheduled. The combination of specific ingredients of the Me-Line ampoule, used with microneedling, provides anti-oxidation and has anti-inflammatory effects. The pigment destroying effect disrupts pigment production and pre-existing pigment accumulations.

Step 3 after 3-4 weeks is another exfoliation. The treatment is performed as in the first MeLine treatment, however, the peeling mask now remains on the skin longer. The treatment has been intensified by the previous treatments as well as continued treatment through home use.

If necessary, a 4th microneedling treatment can be scheduled 3 weeks later. This is in consultation with our skin specialist and depends on the pigment condition of the skin.

The ME-line is a 3- to 4-month course treatment that can dramatically reduce any form of pigment. The cure consists of two peeling-mask treatments and one or two ID (microneedling) treatments as well as a home package. It is important to go through the entire process carefully for optimal and long-lasting results.

After 1 month, you will notice about 50% reduction of pigment spots and the skin condition will be better. After 4 months, most of the pigment will be gone. The night product should continue to be used at least twice a week after the cure, for maintenance. After 8 months, the Me-Line can be repeated if necessary (for severe pigmentation or melasma).

After the course, it is important to let the skin rest for 3 months before undergoing other treatments such as a peel or laser. This is to prevent the pigment from being revived by other treatments.

Besides the fact that pigmentation will be greatly reduced, and thus the skin will appear more even, we also see an improvement in skin hydration due to the active ingredients in the Me-Line products. You are ready for your bare-face no-makeup look.

Therefore, it is important to build up the regimen slowly so that the skin can get used to it. The microneedling treatment has no side effects. However, it is important to always protect the skin properly with SPF.
